I’m an independent writer and editor working across areas of the humanities, sciences, and arts. I was previously senior editor with the Harvard University Press and managing editor of Boston Review, a small-but-mighty political and literary magazine. I’m also a bluegrass/country/folk musician, board member of the Central Texas Bluegrass Association, and a DJ spinning tunes for KOOP, the only volunteer-operated cooperative radio station in the United States.

My writing has been published by the Washington Post, Boston Globe, New Republic, LA Review of Books, Democracy Journal, the Baffler, and others.
